Lottery for character goods “Ichiban Kuji”

goods
2021.09.03

It’s called Ichiban Kuji , and it’s such a familiar product now that it’s constantly held at convenience stores.
Ichiban Kuji which is Japanese Character goods LOTO.
Some titles are changed every month, and some titles are different depending on the convenience store chain.
I wondered how many series there had been in the past, but the official website only had information on releases since 2010.
Looking at some of the prizes I have at home, I think they have been on the market since late 2000.

The prizes in the Ichiban Kuji are gorgeous, and the first prize is often an oversized figure.
Even the so-called “out-of-bounds” items seem to be worth the regular price.
So if it’s the Ichiban Kuji for my favorite anime, I’ll buy it even if I don’t win.

I’ve been addicted to Dragon Ball, Kinnikuman and Jojo’s Ichiban Kuji.
I think there are still new series coming out, but I’m careful because I can’t stop buying them.

Recently, the Ichiban Kuji of Demon slayer was re-released exclusively at Lawson, but it was sold out in an instant on the day it arrived.

I visited about five Lawson stores in the afternoon of the day of the re-release, but I underestimated the popularity of the product.
The system of the last one prize is very good, isn’t it? I wanted a figure of Mr.Rengoku.

Is the “Ichiban Kuji” only for Japan?
I know there are many anime fans overseas now, but I also wonder if the culture of lotteries is familiar to people in the West.
I think I’ve seen a lottery where you can win prizes.

It seems that the most famous ones have international versions. Nowadays.
One Piece, My Hero Academia, Demon slayer, and JujutsuKaisen.
I’m glad to see that Japanese content is being developed overseas as well.
